To save $30-50 initially may cost you thousands in the end. An average inspection in New England costs between $450 – $600 with additional fees for optional inspections such as:<\/p>\n

Wood destroying insects, radon, water testing, lead testing and septic inspections. Make sure you are prepared when calling a home inspection company. Here is some information you should have when calling:<\/p>\n

1: Square footage of the home and amount of rooms in the home.<\/p>\n

2: Are all the utilities turned on, if there is no power or heat you may be charged to have another inspection on the shut off utility<\/p>\n
